Pst. Alice Bond studied English Literature at Oxford, where she met her husband Chris. When they married in 2003 they followed God’s leading to join the newly launched Hope Chapel in Bristol. Alice and Chris never planned to be pastors. Alice continued initially in the academic world before having three children. During this time God spoke to her about turning ‘what was black and white into colour’. This brought together her academic gifts, passion for the Bible and preaching and teaching gifts to produce Biblios during the years of raising young children.
Biblios is an interactive adventure through the Bible for small groups, designed to equip the church in taking hold of the whole Bible. It is a holistic Bible course to be experienced in community. It comprises maps, playing cards, engaging activities and video teaching filmed where the events of the Bible happened in Israel and Rome. Alice and Chris became senior pastors of Hope Chapel in 2014. In addition to leading Hope and developing Biblios, Alice is returning to post graduate academics in September with Westminster Theological College, studying Theology with Hebrew and Greek. This will further equip her in her calling and passion to speak and write truth within contemporary society.
